I knew a Game 4 win on the road in Tampa (for the sweep) was going to be very tough. The Lightning are postseason veterans who know what to do and how to win in these circumstances.
I’m feeling a bit nervous on the cusp of Game 5. It’s a huge game for a number of reasons, but I’m concerned if TBL pulls off the win, momentum will shift in their favor.
It seems Game 4 woke up Tampa’s big guns. Stamkos, Hagel, Point, and Kucherov made their way on the scoresheet multiple times:
Stamkos: (2G)
Hagel: (2G, 1A)
Point: (1G, 2A)
Kucherov: (3A)
Kucherov — who has done nothing up until Game 4 — cannot be allowed to start heating up. So the Cats better be keyed in on him tonight.
No lineup changes for tonight. Bennett is skating, but still not ready to return.
