An incredible win by the Red Wings! Larkin, Raymond, and Seider are doing everything they can over these last few games. Hopefully the Wings can win tomorrow and the Flyers beat the Capitals. Regardless this team has really shown great heart. Go Red Wings!

I gotta say; Raymond is a different player now than the beginning of the season, so much more mature & patient. The hitch/hold/whatever you wanna call it on the GWG isn't some he'd do/did early on. He's grown a ton and has been a bright spot for this team.

Listen, tonight sets the tone for next season. There's a hunger that these guys showed tonight. Eddy breaking his stick after he coughed up the puck resulting in a goal was what I've been looking for: the "I give a damn" display that seemed to be missing. Tonight was special.

Now look, we can prattle on about losing games, missing Larkin, who we could've drafted and so on. There are issues with this team, absolutely no doubt that IF we make it chances are it's going to be a very brutal series. But this team is NOT even supposed to be here! I never dreamt this would be happening. We've hung around, gutted out wins, lost many ugly games....this season, this TEAM is clicking right now. This season has been some of the best hockey I've seen, NOT from a play stand-point, but from a captivating, edge of your seat, frustrating, emotional stand-point. There are tons of things that make/made me wanna barf, but tonight's game was a season's worth of emotion is 63+min....this is why I love hockey, and why it drives me absolutely nuts.

There are changes coming in the off-season, for sure. Some guys may go that we didn't want to see go, but we've got kids knocking on the door, it'll be interesting. But right now, right here on my couch in SC, 15hrs away from home, I miss the hell outta Detroit. And am happy to be a Wings fan despite the chaos that this season's been. I don't dwell on who we could've drafted because I know, WE know, we gotta dance with the ones that brought us. And that team's brought us to the edge of our seats. I don't give 2 craps about who we may face if we make the SCPO, I'm happy in the here and now.

Oh, and I LOVE watching Micky Redmond....he's a goober, an overly optimistic homer, but he's a Wing and I wouldn't trade him for anything.

One more game. One more shot. No matter how it ends, this years has been amazing, filled with the ups n downs that keep us coming back.

Damn, this is fun!!!! (well, untill it's not 🤣🤣)

Reimer is 4-1 in his last 5, unfortunately he should have been used a little more in the past 2 months. Husso and Reimer were over used in the begining of the season as Lyon rode the pine. And now Lalonde overuses Lyon. Oh, and Lalonde used to be a goalie!

Really good 3rd from the Wings! 5 hits on the iron during the game! Wings need that 3rd period effort in ALL 3 periods tomorrow night! Nice to see Ray-Ray with 2 crucial clutch goals! Better lock the kid up for 8 yrs!

The past two wins have been unreal. The buzz is pretty potent and the team seems to have awakened their fan base. Seeing lines out the door of LCA was awesome. I have to think the three guys you mentioned have sold more than a couple shirts and jerseys

You’re absolutely right about Raymond. I’ve been shocked by his confidence at times. At 22 hitting 30 goals and having those big moments. The place exploded last night, and has a few times this year. It’s been a while since we’ve seen this kind of energy. Redmond and Daniels look like they roll back the clock on a night like that.

And how. I have some of the pre season predictions. The big concern $ wise has been Seider. Raymond upped his raise. I still lean toward a 4 or 5 year for Raymond but trying to get Seider locked down for max term, but that may not be where the club is at

Raymond came up so big yesterday. The talk in the blogs and from some other teams has surrounded Seider. Raymond forced his way into the conversation.

Here come all the doomsayers ready to eat their words for the 10th time this year 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆

Red Wings fans are incredibly emotional and quick to forget. Why you people hate your team and love it simultaneously is beyond me - maybe Freud could solve a lot of these inquiries.

Spot on re: G use. Makes me wonder what the G coach is telling Lalonde. Then again, Lalonde's got the final say in who plays when.....You definitely were vocal about getting Lyon in way before he played, and were on it about load levelling as well.....think watching Lyon's GAA climb reinforces your stance for dang sure.

Not sure what the appetite is for long-term deals from The Captain, but agree Raymond should be another longer-term contract. He's foundational like Mo Sides....need that committment from management.

I'm wondering what the talk is in the management circles....Mo & Rayzor are 2 critical components in the machine. Would offer many of us have stated Rayzor should be longer termed, but also wondered if he would be given a juicy bridge. The final result for both will be interesting. The kid's grown so much this year. Definitely a solid pick....

It’s really hard to get the feel unless someone comes out and releases it. I believe it was Mlive that said Draper pushed hard for Raymond. He did for Bertuzzi as well, but also Cholowski. So, grain of salt.

I saw Jim Nill say that in Edvinsson’s draft year Dallas had him as the #1 defender in their scouting list. I think a couple more kids are going to pan out well. Hoping Kasper’s 2nd half is more indicative of his growth. A write up about Tuomisto (possibly DetroitHockeyNow) said that management have started to see him in a more favorable light again after injury struggles. Right side D second pairing and a top 6 center have to be on radar for next year. It will come down to the kind of money Seider and Raymond command and if Yzerman can offload a bad deal or two

Just saw an interesting stat that Seider leads the league in blocked shots. Is Walman out with injury ?? Anyone know his status? He's not in the lineup tonight. Would be nice to get Rasmussen back in, but he's still out too.

Sprong is on the third line tonight with Copp and Fabbri. Interesting... he's due for a goal.

There was a period about a month ago where Walman was “day to day” and playing through injury at points. I think if Detroit weren’t in contention you may be looking at a surgical fix. Seider has become fearless. He uses his reach well and just takes the bullet. With the tracking we have now, you know you could be facing a. 90+ mph shot and one turn of the leg exposes un padded portions. Very impressive. I think Ras is in that similar “trying to rehab in case there is post season play”. After Husso went off the ice in GR I almost expect a surgery for him.

For Seider, didn’t he recently have a game with 10 blocks? That’s unreal. I really wish they would elongate the gloves a bit more again and alter the knee and instep protection. The impact of some of those shots are unreal.

Thinking a bridge deal for RayRay because Y signs Kane and may have to find a Goaler and a good RD. I think prong, Fish and maybe Perron are gone because of cap considerations. I do't ee how he sheds salary. A Holl buyout would save $2.5M next year and a Petry .8M, then one would have t shop for a replacement. Ghost will cost about $5M AAV, maybe more. He is good but not a 2nd pair guy and does well w/ 3rd pairing and PP duty.

Jeremy you are spot on in regards to Lyon, he just looks spent.... understandable as his workload has been larger than ever in his career...... in terms of Raymond, I think the long-term lock down is in order... he wasn't happy with his sophomore season and worked on it, came in stronger and unwilling to accept excuses... his work ethic is what you want to see, as an organization or a fan..... whatever happens in terms of the wild card it still is past time for Lalonde to go.....

It is also beyond me why you have to continually pop in here with your know-it-all criticism of everyone else.

As Wings fans, and no matter how this ends tonight, let's enjoy and appreciate the growth in this team this year and the excitement for the future!
Thanks for your positivity Jeremy and for your commitment to this blog!

Hey, Vlad. Bally showed a ticker stat that he's 2d with 211 going into last night. Leafue leader was 278 or some such insane number. We do miss Walman and Ras. Not super-stars but solid in their play and add stability most of the time....

I still think Sprong needs to be re-signed. I'm game for emptying my kid's piggy bank for it. I truly like that dude and what he brings to the team....

EDIT: He also is well above 200 hits, pretty rare air.

Anybody have any Alka-seltzer???? Thewaiting for tonight is killing me!! Last night's game was just next-level stuff for nerves and the wait for tonight's no better 🫣🙄

I was in Curtis, MI in the late 90's over Christmas & NYE snowmobiling. Went to Swizzl Inn for a game like last night's.....everyone was on the edge of their seats n beggin' for ant-acids!! Such great memories...and many are being made now as well.......

Let's get 'em, lads!!!

EDIT: Gave the correct name after a Family memeber corrected me!
