Not necessarily fighting from 34 Willy Marner. But I personally would like to see them (when time calls for it) get into the scrum, grab a guy, gloves on pops/washes, lay some stick and just be in there and aggressive.
Edit: but when the Tbay happened - you absolutely need to drop and throw. It’s a rare thing to get jumped to that level as a star. At least just drop and tie up. I’m not sure if 34 learned how to do that before NHL coming from US development program but everyone knows at least by Jr in Canada how to be safe and tie up. I imagine if not someone showed him (Leafs organization) once drafted.

Right after Willy signed his contract. I was super impressed, and praised the poop out of him.
That’s the frustrating thing. You know he has it in him. But for whatever reason he reverted back to being his own self.

Leave Cush alone. I made the "Ooof bad look" comment. And FWIW, that comment was about the out of context picture...the pic looked bad for Marner. In context, nothing for him to do except grab Hedman. Just a bad pic not a bad moment. Relax.
Love Marner and what he brings. (hate his turnovers and dipsy doodle poop sometimes but only when it doesn't work )

Point got a scary impact into the boards on that play. He's a top player on that roster, so I would expect every Tampa player on the ice to go apepoop and mug somebody over it. Leafs had the last laugh in that series. I was over it pretty quick. I'd rather see Stamkos get a little dirty to defend his teammate, than do too little and send a signal of weakness.
