Its been a while since the Devils so much buzz for our hockey fans, here are some of the recent tid bits and my random thoughts...
Devils returned a few players to their junior clubs, most notably Adam Henrique and Patrice Cormier. As usual a taste of the bigs is always nice.
Barry Tallackson had succesful heart surgery for an irregular heart beat. We all wish him well and a speady recovery.
Devils have looked ok so far in pre season. Nic Bergfors has been hampered by injury and Fedorov has been inconsistent, while and Salmela looks good.
I like Bryce Salvador and the attitude he is bringing to our back line. I think this is a critical year for Paul Martin and he needs to elevate his game - I think he will.
Elias/Rolston/Gionta is what I am most excited to see. Not since Elias/Arnott/Sykora havnt I been particularly excited about a line.
The Langenbrunner/Zubrus scuffle was more a message to Zubrus.
Mr. Paul Newman, rest in peace.
