Erik Johnson to Seek Second opinion? |

|
As of early Friday the Blues were still working on the final details but sources say Erik Johnson will get a second opinion on his injured right knee in the next few days. Word is Johnson will likely head to Cleveland, Ohio to have it checked out. The Blues still plan to announce the extent of the injury no later than Tuesday.
Johnson had his shoulder operated on in Cleveland just after the Blues season expired last April.
I received an interesting piece of news on Friday when I learned the Blues have invited Pascal Perron to attend Peoria's American League camp. Pascal is in fact the older brother of Mr. Dangles himself David Perron.
David tells me Pascal is bigger, faster, and stronger than he is with just as much skill but was never given the chance to prove he belongs at this level. The Blues figure they have nothing to lose by inviting the older Perron to their AHL camp and see if in fact they find a diamond in the rough. I think it’s a smart play by John Davidson and company.
Pascal has never played professional hockey and never played major junior either. I had first heard of the possibility of the Blues offering Pascal an invite a few weeks ago and on Friday Rivermen General Manager Kevin McDonald got everything finalized.
The elder Perron is 23 years old.

I will occasionally be submitting stories during the upcoming season on Pronger's official website.
I will have much more on the Blues on Saturday.
More to come,
