Karri Ramo Gets the Call

Well, folks ... this is what many of you were wishing for.

Goaltender Karri Ramo has been recalled from Norfolk of the American Hockey League and will start for the Lightning Thursday night against Toronto. Defenseman Jay Leach, who plays a real tough 'D', has also been recalled on an emergency basis after Brad Lukowich's shoulder injury. (Still no further details on Luke, though he looks doubtful - at best - for tomorrow night's tilt.) Marc Denis will likely be scratched and Johan Holmqvist should dress as Ramo's backup.

Ramo will get his chance to take the reigns here.

Best case scenario? The Lightning find their #1 guy, right in their own back yard. Worst case? The defense leaves Ramo in the lurch and he looks, well, like a rookie.

I like the move and I like the timing. Can't hurt, I suppose.

Right?
