I am making several adjustments to the Rumour Chart this morning as rumours really begin to swirl and intensify.

Tanguay. There were varying reports last night that Tanguay may have already agreed to waive his NTC. I didn't see either, but I got several emails stating both that Pierre Maguire from TSN said that Alex HAD agreed to waive his NTC, and that Scott Morrison from CBC stated that Alex had not agreed to. Since players don't actually waive NTC's until they HAVE to, it is anyone's guess, but my guess is that Tanguay, like most players, don't like to stick around after they are asked if they would mind leaving the party. Would you?

Teams included in this sweeps are Montreal, Boston, NJ, and the New York Islanders.

Sundin. The Vancouver Canucks are the likely landing place for Mats. The problem is who goes the other way. As I wrote yesterday, Kessler is the key piece, and that is a risk given the style played in Vancouver. Yesterday I wrote about Columbus and Mats, and although Columbus has a lot of interest, I have been told that Sundin will NOT likely go there. He wants to play for a team with a Cup shot. So really, we are looking at 5 teams. Vancouver, Calgary, San Jose and Anaheim and possibly Dallas.

Forsberg: Calgary may be the leading candidate. Darren Dreger reported on TSN last evening that Calgary had strong interest. The Flames have been the most active on many fronts in tracking Forsberg. Philly is also very much in the loop, and may have the inside track on some levels, but with the team playing so well and coming together it is hard to imagine that they would break up the team to do so.

Jokinen: The mood is probably better for a Jokinen trade then it ever has been in Florida. The rumours have swirled for years, but there are incredible behind the scenes stories I am hearing. One this morning, one last night...really make me wonder if the ownership may be forced to make this move. I have heard Calgary, Toronto, and Montreal are the first places to look, with Buffalo, Edmonton and Chicago all possibilities. One thing that is for certain, if OJ is available, a huge bidding war will ensue.

Campbell. The two sides are not that far apart despite the fact that they aren't talking right now. Maybe less than a million per year. It looks like BC would take less to stay in Buffalo. The Sabres also have interest once again in Warrener out of Calgary.

More to come, as I head down to the Sens/Flyers game this evening.

The Exclusive Hockey Buzz Trade Rating takes several factors into account including the player's production, cap hit, if his team is selling or buying, the likelihood of him returning, cap space available among playoff teams looking to upgrade, his age, experience, and more.

The Trade Rating changes every night depending on what happens in the evening games and as we get closer to the deadline, and the Cap Hit becomes less of a factor, the changes will become more drastic.

Players are added and adjusted throughout the days as to what percentages I feel are their most likely destinations based on the hundreds of phone calls, emails, texts, IMs and Telegrams I receive.
