When I arrived at the Phillips arena I was immediately swarmed upon by 12-16-year old girls all flying out of the arena. One came right up to me and said through her tears, "I touched him, I touched him!"
Wow, I thought this is a REALLY odd and young hockey town. Turns out they were all coming out of the building and screaming for the Jonas Brothers, who performed after the stars skated.
I am told that the Sabres are seriously in the running for Jokinen and that the other team in the running is the MONTREAL CANADIENS...The Flames have also been often linked, however Calgary may be turning to Sundin or Foppa according to a few people here in Atlanta.
I am going back to look into adding some more players to the Rumour Chart based on some discussions. There is much more chatter this year than last. Essentially what I am getting is that many of the teams, especially out West, including Nashville, St Louis, and Columbus are making huge pitches for big named players and even selling their cities to certain agents.

Sundin. I was told 90% now that Sundin is moved. The latest rumblings include Vancouver and Calgary leading the way, but don't count out the NY Rangers I am told. With rumours of Malik being shipped to Chicago very prevalent, and also rumours popping up that the Sharks have interest in "another highly paid Ranger" I get the sense that the Rangers are up to something big. I would be pretty shocked if Mats would decide to go to NY however as everything I have heard is still pointing him towards a Western Canadian team, and he has told people he will ONLY play for a team he feels can win it all.
Forsberg: "Really feeling well and looking full of life," I was told this morning in an email from Sweden. And I am also hearing that Philly is 80% his destination. Foppa felt like Philly treated him very well, there is unfinished buisiness, and he also made some strong relationships in the area. It should also be noted that Scott Hartnell and Forsberg were very close during his time in Nashville.
