Emery to start tomorrow night against the Flyers |

Yes folks you read the title of the blog correctly..........Ray Emery is going to start against the Philadelphia Flyers tomorrow night. Does this mean head coach John Paddock has selected his number one goalie? Emery was in goal Saturday night for the Sens loss and the win and you're in theory was the logic that the brilliant Sens head coach had come up with a month ago, so I guess that ridiculous theory is out the window now. Did GM Bryan Murray call Paddock from the Naples, Florida in hopes of fixing this fiasco that Paddock created?
The bottom line in this matter is, the fact that Murray has been rumoured for a few weeks now to be talking with Chicago about Nikolai Khabibulin and currently is part of the GM meetings in Florida has to make you wonder if Murray told Paddock to showcase Emery in hopes of moving Emery a week from now. It's no secret that Murray has been trying to move Emery for most of the season, even Emery himself went to Murray a few months back and asked him to see what potential deals were out there for a possible address of change. Murray admitted this in an interview a month ago.
Time will tell and this whole mess that Paddock created will sort itself out once the trade deadline comes and goes.
Sources tell me this morning that more than a few players are extremely unhappy with Paddock and the way he has handled players both on and off the ice. It's plain to see that Paddock has failed this team since the 15-2 start. The Sens are 18-22 since then(excluding OT/SO wins/losses) and have had a 7 game losing streak in there. I had one player tell me that this team is FAR too talented to have lost 7 in a row at any point this season. What does that tell you about the coach? Fans in this city used to complain about Jacques Martin and his failure to make in-game adjustments, well guess what folks......Paddock is no better! How many players on this team know their roles? That is the question I ask all Sens fans. With 23 games left in the seaons this Sens team is taking 5 steps back instead of progressing and moving forward as a TEAM heading into the final month of the season.
Please e-mail me your best fan rants about this current situation in Sens land. I will post the top 5 rants tomorrow in my blog. Please try not to make your rants too long! I have had a few over the weekend from some very disgruntled season ticket holders.
