San Jose has discussed a trade with Toronto in which bothe clubs would swap superstars.

TO Toronto:

Patrick Marleau

Steve Bernier

Christian Ehrhoff

and a pick believed to be a 2nd rounder

To San Jose:

Mats Sundin

Tomas Kaberle

No word on if Sundin or Kaberle have any interest in taking their game to San Jose.

Kaberle is exactly what San Jose needs.

Anaheim is still pushing for Sundin although I'm told Cliff Flectcher is telling Brian Burke he has to take Andrew Raycroft to finalize the deal. Burke, has no interest in Raycrft.

The New York Islanders are shopping both Ruslan Fedotenko and Miroslav Satan.

Mike Sillinger will undergo hip surgery to repair a torn labrum on Monday in Colorado. Structurally the hip wasn't going to get any better.

St. Louis is waiting for the the big names to start to fall before they can start making moves.

The Blues play in Phoenix tonight. I would certainly assume David Perron will play, but then again you never know. It would be hard to convince me that the coach isn't trying to send a message to the 19 year old sniper by sitting him for three consecutive games. The exact message hasn't been made clear, but it's eveidnet there is an issue here.

For a team that struggles offensively and is using Ryan Johnson as their number two center, you would think they would want as much offense in the lineup as possible.

John Davidson was on local radio this past Monday praising Perron for his play saying "He's going to be a star for us." The former first round pick hasn't played since netting the game winner last Sunday.

More to come,
