Marty will be sporting a new mask which includes a new logo on te top of the helpet. THe logo incorporates his initials and the #30. Interesting.
His website debuts tomorrow; http://www.martinbrodeur30.com/
You can see pictures of the mask.

I cant wait for the puck to drop and see what The Rock will look like tomorrow night.
Ill be there, let me know if you will.

I thought Id post this blog to foster some conversation and get thoughts from the fans about this years Devils team.

Here are a few questions Id like to ask and see the various opinions and conversations that stem from them.

Here are my 10 Burning Questions...

1- Not since Elias/Arnott/Sykora have we had a bonafide #1 line. Do you think the Elias/Rolston/Gionta experiment is for real?

2- Do you think that a possible Pandolfo/Madden/Clarkson line could be the most dynamic 3rd line in hockey? I do.

3- Brodeur WILL be the best goalie to ever play. *Not a question*

4- Will Salmela make a difference on our Power Play with his shot from the point?

5- Will Zubrus finish the season in a Devils sweater?

6- Over/Under - Johnny Oduya has about 4 games a year he displays Orr-like flashes, which is why i call him Orr-Duya. Will he have more or less than 4 games like that? (remember his end-to-end vs the Flyers? Thats what I am referring to)

7- Will Uncle Lou break the trend and go for broke at the trade deadline in an effort to help Marty to another Cup?

8- Will Paul Martin continue his late season play and step up to the next level?

9- Fill in the blank: A new version of the Crash Line could be Rupp/Holik/__________

10- Will the Devils record vs the NY teams improve from last year?

There you go.

Truly yours,
The Devils Advocate

This Day In Hockey History...

1987 - Devils' rookie Brendan Shanahan recorded his first NHL point by assisting on Pat Verbeek's third-period goal as New Jersey won their opening night game with a 6-3 win over the visiting Pittsburgh Penguins.
