Kuk Gone; Parent to Stay?

Not that this will surprise anyone but Lasse Kukkonen flew the kuk, err, coup and was waived once again today.

Flyers GM Paul Holmgren tells me that he thinks this might be a way to keep Ryan Parent around. Of course, we never know what's ahead given Danny Briere's health and salary cap status once he comes back.

Parent looks pretty good to me teamed with Kimmo Timonen, a partnership I would like to see made permanent to close out the season.

I also talked to Holmgren about what's going on with Ossi Vaananen, who played a grand total of 9 minutes (combined) in two games over the weekend.

Is Stevens missed at how sloppy his play has been? Or did Ossi get hurt when he took that shot to the neck last week in Philly against Boston?
