PREVIEW
In the fourth game of a five-game homestand, the Flyers (36-19-10) will take on the Southeast Division leading Washington Capitals (41-21-6) at the Wachovia Center. Tonight's tilt will conclude the four game season series between the clubs. If the game goes anything like the previous three, it will be an entertaining match.
Over the course of the entire season, Washington has been the NHL's best home team but has been nothing special on the road. However, the team is currently riding a four-game winning streak away from the Verizon Center, and the Capitals are 11-3-2 in their last 16 road matches.
As usual, Alexander Ovechkin has been the catalyst for Washington. He has 10 points (5 G, 5 A) over his last 8 games and has racked up a staggering 20 goals in his last 23 games. Martin Biron will get his third straight start in goal for the Flyers, although Antero Niittymäki owns both Flyers wins against Washington this season.
