The Flyers will look to complete a season series sweep tonight when they take on the Buffalo Sabres in the third game of the four-game road trip. Philly has been a maddeningly inconsistent club since the All-Star break, posting an uninspiring 12-10-1 record. As a result, the team finds itself in jeopardy of slipping in the playoff chase if it doesn't pick up the pace.
For the first time this season, Danny Briere will play against his old club. Head coach John Stevens has shaken up the forward lines, at least to start the game. Briere is slated to line up on Jeff Carter's right wing.
Martin Biron will once again get the nod in goal against his ex-team. He has a 1.67 GAA in the Flyers' three victories over Buffalo this season.
The Flyers revamped starting lineup will look like this:
Gagne - Giroux - Knuble
Hartnell - Carter - Briere
Carcillo - Richards - Lupul
Cote - Powe - Asham
Timonen - Parent
Coburn - Carle
Alberts - Syvret
