Shooting Zero: Sid and Evgeni |

PITTSBURGH _ Great job by Ryan Parent, in particular, against Sidney Crosby and even Evgeni Malkin today during the Flyers 3-1 win.
No shots for Sid the Kid or Malkin. None. Only the second time in their careers that happened to them together in a game.
I told Parent he will become the next Chris Therien against Jaromir Jagr. He kinda looked at me like I was nuts and then I realized he was likely unaware of Therien's career as a shutdown guys against one and only one guy in the NHL. If Bundy had played every guy like Jagr, he'd still be playing.
Anyway, yeoman's work by the Fly Boys and it sets up, I think, a better, more competitive, closer series in the future between these two should they meet in the playoffs. Of the 6 games, 4 were decided by a goal.
“No shots, but they still had a lot of opportunities,” said Mike Richards. “They draw all the attention and make good plays to get other people in scoring [opportunities]. Sid made a good play on the power play. But I thought when they did have the opportunities, Marty shut the door while Kimmo and Bernie (cq) [Ryan Parent] did a great job keeping them to the outside.”
