The Flyers have proven to themselves that they can compete successfully against the Penguins. Even after the defeat in Game 2, the club had positives it could draw upon when the series moved back to Philadelphia. There has been a shift in the atmosphere around the team.

The club seems more confident and looser than at any time since the team achieved back-to-back wins against Pittsburgh and the New Jersey Devils during the stretch drive. The club leadership wants to make sure that translates into strong, consistent play for the remainder of the series.
