Pronger Deal Revisited by NHL

Did anyone think that the Chris Pronger deal was going to cause such a ruckus in Flyerdom or with the NHL?

Here we are in August and we're still revisiting the deal to see whether the Flyers tried to circumvent the CBA.

The league admitted it was looking at Marian Hossa's deal and now they're looking at the Pronger deal, too, along with others, I am told.

And since the Flyers are already on the hook for ALL of Pronger's cap hit, even if he retires early, you have to wonder what the point is. Further, if the NHL approved the deal in advance, why question it now? Shouldn't that have been done back in July?
