Paul Holmgren is in the Czech Republic tonight on a scouting mission.

Funny, but I saw "Hostel II" the other day for a second time and when he said that, I wondered about that movie.

All the gore, the murder, the violence, the deceptive lure, the unsuspecting babes, etc.

Which brings us to the latest Flyers news coming out of Europe and the U.S. ...

They signed 4 players today, but only one caught my eye - Nicola Riopel. If you read my massive 3-part series on CSNPhilly.com earlier this summer, you know that there is a big transition going on with the Flyers in goal throughout the system.

Riopel could have gone back to junior but the Flyers elected to sign him to a contract now and told him to prepare himself for training camp and a shot at backing up the new Phantoms starter, (presumably) Johan Backlund.
