Flyers GM Paul Holmgren tells me that he is NOT certain whether Simon Gagne's injury is related to his right hip surgery.
Gagne has a right groin strain but Holmgren said they want to rule out after examining him whether it is related to his right hip surgery of last spring.
Now, Gagne told Chuck Gormley he re-injured the right hip. And by now we all know that these groin and hip injuries seem to always be related by muscle tissue, if nothing else.
Holmgren didn't sound worried.
One more thing. The other remaining FLyers are staying through the camp. Someone posted a bogus statement in the "comments" from the Flyers saying that Gagne's teammates had returned home with him.
Holmgren told me it was his understanding the other players are staying through the camp. My statement from the Flyers does not have Holmgren saying the other three players are coming home.

Apparently, Simon Gagne did reinjure his surgically-repaired right hip at today's Team Canada Olympic orientation camp.
"It's not serious," GM Paul Holmgren told CSNPhilly.com.
Gagne told Chuck Gormley that he did reinjure his hip and wasn't expecting the fast pace and that may have caused the injury.
