Randy Jones cleared waivers.

What happens next? I assume he will be sent to the Phantoms on Wednesday when the final roster is turned in.

Here's GM Paul Holmgren's comments from my story on CSNPhilly.com.

Will Jones go to the Phantoms?

“That’s a possibility but we don’t have to decide that today,” Holmgren replied. “He could still be on our roster. We have a number of options. The fact that he has cleared gives us different options.”

If Paul Holmgren had to turn in his NHL roster on MONDAY, he said that James van Riemsdyk would be on it.

Here's my story on that and the Brian Boucher injury on CSNPhilly.com:

Goalie Brian Boucher will miss 7-10 days with that infamous "lower body" injury that we suspect is a hip or groin.

GM Paul Holmgren said this afternoon that Johan Backlund will be called up from the Phantoms to start the season with the Flyers as Ray Emery's backup.

No roster cuts or additions made as of today.

I will be writing more on this later on CSNPhilly.com
