Colin Campbell confirmed via email to CSNPhilly.com this afternoon that Scott Hartnell will not be fined or suspended for his alleged biting incident with Pens' Kris Letang.

Obviously, no witnesses on the ice and no video to support it.

I have a suggestion for when the Flyers travel to PGH to meet the Pens. Have all the Penguin fans wear t-shirts that say, "Bite Me."

We'll have to keep an eye on the NHL league office on Friday to see if Scott Hartnell gets suspended for allegedly biting the Penguins' Kris Letang at the end of the game tonight.

Pens win it 5-4 as the Flyers and Braydon Coburn was ghastly with the puck ... turnovers, galore.

Here's a quote from my story on CSNPhilly.com about the biting incident:

“I think he knows what he did,” Letang said. “It was in a scrum. “[The officials] really didn’t have a chance to see what happened. It was a wrestling kind of thing. They couldn’t see any details.”

Said Hartnell, "A lot of stuff happens on the bottom of the pile,” Hartnell said. “He had his hands in my face doing the face wash and we're rolling around. I can’t say what happened.”

Hartnell denied the bite.
