First off, to our American readers, Happy Thanksgiving!
I want to take a moment to say thank you to everyone for reading, for commenting, for correcting. I really appreciate the passion all of you show, you keep me honest, you keep me grounded, and I thank you for it.
I am so grateful for my family, they are incredibly supportive and I am blessed to have them...
To my oldest - Your passion as you drive to your goals amazes me. Don't give up, you will be exactly where you are supposed to, when you are supposed to.
To my middle guy - As you continue to grow into the man you will become, I am proud of the things you are learning, stay strong!
To my youngest - Your heart is a wonderful thing, an amazing combination of compassion and empathy. Don't lose that as the world tries to make you cynical.
To my wife - You are the heart and soul of our family. I am grateful for the 21+ years we have had together and look forward to each new day with you. I love you!
OK... enough of the sappy stuff... on to hockey!

The Predators took their seventh straight last night by taking down the Avalanche in overtime, keeping their perfect record intact. They are now 12-0-0 when scoring a power play goal.
Nashville got off to another great start, scoring two in the first period and appeared to be on the way to an atypical easy win. But a poor second period allowed the Av's back in and Pred Nation was biting its' nails again.
You do have to like the resilliance of this team. After blowing a two goal lead and playing a
terrible second period, the Predators managed to get the game tied up by the end of the second and hold off a furious Av's attack to get the game to overtime.
New daddy David Legwand has really got his game together over the past few weeks. That trend continued last night as he got the game winner, banging in a rebound with less than two minutes to go in the extra session.
The team is back in town to celebrate the holiday before a three home game in four day stretch that starts tomorrow. The Predators will wear their new third jerseys for the first time tomorrow night for their game against the Blues.

Message to Adrian Dater...
12,356 in the stands last night at Pepsi Center... Perhaps you should stop throwing stones at other franchises... 12,356 on a holiday eve, no other competition in town, and the team is in first place!
You may want to rethink your standards on markets who deserve teams.
