Flyers Need Another 2 Points |

BOSTON _ The Flyers got a much-needed 2 points on Monday night against the big, bad Bruins.
My personal feelings going into the weekend - starting with NJ - was that the Flyers needed to collect 4 of 6 points.
They are at Orange Level security ready to go to Red - which means a trade. They need to follow up with a win tonight in Pittsburgh. Otherwise, I think they make a major trade by Friday. I have been told management doesn't want to push the buttons yet, but they are prepared.
The gap between the Flyers and everyone else above them is simply too huge to ignore.
Best thing liked about the Bruins win was that the Flyers didn't wilt in the final period, they came back and got some goals, and Brian Boucher, who I feel has played pretty well in net these past weeks, got some goals support.
“I thought we played a really strong third period,” coach Peter Laviolette said. “I was really glad to see us respond the way we did in the third period. Terrific period, from start to finish. I thought we skated, and shot and looked for offense and didn’t sit back. It’s what we needed.”
The only bad news? Losing another d-man (O-K Tollefsen) to injury.
