Ray Emery is going to the Phantoms for a conditioning assignment. The Flyers are being extra cautious here and I applaud that.
I think it best suits the Flyers to have get some games in before removing Michael Leighton who has been very stable from net. When was the last time we saw the Flyers with some good goaltending options? This is a good problem to have ... for once.
That mean Michael Leighton stays in the net tonight against Tampa Bay.

As I reported earlier tonight on CSNPhilly.com, Dan Carcillo, was fined $2,500 for showboating in front of the Maple Leafs bench after scoring a goal this week in the 6-2 Flyers' rout ... Again, you wear Flyer Orange, you don't get away with anything in the NHL.

So who is your goalie against Tampa Bay tomorrow night?
Michael Leighton, who is 6-0-1?
Or is it Ray Emery, who is healthy and ready to get back into the game. Emery wants to play. Leighton wants to play.
If you listen to Flyers' coach Peter Laviolette, he says he hasn't made up his mind. Yet the more people talked to Laviolette today at Skate Zone, the more it sounded like he was leaning toward keeping Leighton in the net.
Looks like we finally have a good goalie controversy in Philly worth arguing over.
“I don’t like missing games and you definitely want to come back as fast as you can but you also want to make sure that you don’t rush it and you are ready to come back,” Emery said.
I admit, Leighton has really surprised. He looked very sharp when he had to against the Penguins in the third period with 18 saves.
Leighton had 35 saves against the Penguins – 18 in the third period.
“Let’s be honest – he played great,” Laviolette said. “He made some terrific saves.”
Laviolette knows that Emery is his No. 1. But the FLyers are winning and they need to continue to win and get points and get to a high seed.
So goes in net tomorrow? The guy coming off the injury? Or the guy on fire?
