MINI- PREVIEW (10:30 AM)

The Flyers have absolutely owned the Atlanta Thrashers in recent years but lost the only meeting between the clubs so far this season. Both clubs hit the skids in December but have played better hockey of late.

Philly's streaky special teams have been in another down cycle in the last few games after an outstanding stretch spanning the previous 10 games. Peter Laviolette has focused on special teams play to a large extent this week, and it will be interesting to see how the team performs in this area after having no games in the last three nights.

Jeff Carter has been red hot of late and Atlanta is a team against whom he often has big games, so I would not be surprised to see a multi-point effort from him tonight.
