PREVIEW (8:30 AM, EST)
The Flyers will look to put their late-game stumble in Edmonton behind them as they take on the Minnesota Wild in the third and final game of a Western Conference road trip. There is little history or natural rivalry between the clubs but the Flyers have generally fared well, winning six of nine games (with one tie).
Philly has a recent history of making other clubs' backup goaltenders look like the reincarnation of Georges Vezina. They will need to break that trend tonight. Twenty-three-year-old rookie goaltender Anton Khudobin will make his first NHL start tonight because Niklas Bäckström has the flu and Josh Harding is nursing a hip injury. Ray Emery is likely to return to the net for the Flyers tonight.
Flyers lineup (subject to change)
Gagne - Richards - Hartnell
Powe - Carter - Briere
JVR - Giroux - Asham
Carcillo - Betts - Laperriere
Carle - Pronger
Krajicek - Timonen
Coburn - Bartulis
Emery

This weekend on Philadelphiaflyers.com, I am taking a look at the way the Flyers have
risen or fallen based on their special teams play this season.
When the Flyers score a power play goal this season, they enjoy a 23-9-2 mark. When they fail to tally on the man advantage, they're 5-15-1. Meanwhile, when the Flyers allow one or more opposition power play goals, they have a 12-17-2 record.
