Multiple sources tell me the NHL met with the Flyers on Chris Pronger's contract LAST fall, soon after the August hysteria about the league reviewing deals that were previously approved but may have circumvented the CBA.

Now comes news that arbitrator Richard Bloch cites the Pronger deal - among others _ as deals designed to elude the CBA in his Ilya Kovalchuk ruling.

So will the NHL reopen the Pronger contract? Did they ever really close it?
