PETERSON FOUNDATION FOR PARKINSONS EXPANDS
Nashville Predators Associate Coach Brent Peterson Hosts Fundraiser
NASHVILLE, Tenn. — NHL’s Nashville Predators Associate Coach Brent Peterson is expanding his Foundation to include a board and new events in the hopes of educating Middle Tennesseans about the effects of Parkinson’s disease.
In 2009, its inaugural year, the Peterson Foundation for Parkinsons established a board of directors to guide the Foundation’s mission and success. Brent Peterson is serving as Chairman.
“There isn’t a cure for this disease – yet,” Peterson says. “It is my hope and the hope of the Foundation board that we will be able to fund important research here in Middle Tennessee and nationally through the money raised at our annual events. We added the dinner and auction in hopes of reaching a broader audience. It’s going to be a fun night out with some great entertainment.”
The fourth annual golf tournament is scheduled for Friday, September 10 at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. Though spaces for the tournament are limited, tickets to the Dinner and Silent Auction, on September 9, at the Factory in Franklin are still available.
The evening will include cocktails, dinner, and entertainment featuring comedian Henry Cho. Celebrities attending the event as well as participating in the golf tournament are Predator’s players, coaches, management and other radio and TV personalities from Nahville. The silent auction features trips, signed NHL jerseys, autographed guitars from top country artists, foursomes at golf courses around the Southeast and so much more. Tickets to the dinner and auction are $50 and can be purchased online at www.petersonforparkinsons.org.
Title sponsors for the Brent Peterson Celebrity Golf Classic are Franklin American Mortgage Company, and PEAK Performance.
