The Flyers' annual prospects game against players in the Washington Capitals system will take place today starting at 3 PM. This year's game will be held at the Capitals' Skateplex in Arlington, VA.

Not surprisingly, SAIK elected to start 35-year-old goaltending incumbent Andreas Hadelöv rather than 20-year-old rookie Joacim Eriksson in its regular season opener today against FBK. In making the decision, SAIK head coach Anders Forsberg reiterated that he plans to give both goalies enough playing time to stay sharp. Goaltending coach Krister Holm added that Eriksson may get the second game of the season.
