Nashville, Tenn. (September 21, 2010) – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club sent six players from its 2010 training camp roster, back to their junior teams, leaving the camp roster at 50.

Twelve players who participated in Predators Rookie Camp – goaltenders Anders Lindback and Chet Pickard, defensemen Jonathon Blum, Ryan Ellis and Roman Josi, and forwards Taylor Beck, Ryan Flynn, Blake Geoffrion, Linus Klasen, Chris Mueller, Mark Santorelli and Ryan Thang – will remain in main camp.
With the return of Nashville Predators hockey, the Predators are gearing up for their second annual Preds Fest, a fan-appreciation celebration from Sept. 23-27 to mark the start of the hockey season in Smashville. Preds Fest will kick off with a party on Bridgestone Arena’s plaza at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 23. This free party will feature music and prizes, a beer garden, appearances by mascot GNASH and the Nashville Predators Dancers and autograph opportunities with players. The Predators also invited fans to attend that evening’s game for free; due to an overwhelming response, this game is now at capacity. Tickets still remain for Saturday night’s preseason game vs. the Washington Capitals and Monday night’s contest vs. the Atlanta Thrashers.
The regular season in Smashville kicks off on Oct. 9 vs. the Anaheim Ducks. All fans in attendance will receive an Opening Night t-shirt courtesy of Bridgestone. Tickets may be purchased at the Bridgestone Arena box office, by calling (615) 770-PUCK (7825) or online via Ticketmaster.com or nashvillepredators.com.
