Best news out of the morning drills ...
Chris Pronger skating with some of the regulars and participating in drills while wearing the "yellow" jersey which means No contact.
Coach Peter Laviolette was happy, too.
“When guys start to get involved in practices and get closer and when they lose a no contact jersey, that means they’re getting closer,” said coach Peter Laviolette. “When they get into physical play, yeah it’s always positive when guys start to heal up and get on the mend.”
Keep in mind, with the exception of Ben Holmstrom, the players who appeared in Tuesday's game against New Jersey did NOT go in the first session.
Practices will be light today because the FLyers entire group are in a four games in five-day stretch, including three in a row.
Laviolette also had some funny things to say about how his New England accent and his sentence fragments during drill instructions poses a problem for Nik Zherdev, requiring Jeff Carter and Mike Richard to re-translate for him on the ice.
