Took a weekend away with my lovely bride in the Smoky's... even got a little snow over the weekend! But now I'm back... here we go...


After a demoralizing ending to a disastrous road trip, the Nashville Predators are practicing at home before heading out to St. Louis tomorrow for a Thursday game against the red hot Blues. While not pressing the panic button yet, although my finger is getting pretty itchy, this team needs to come up with some points before they completely ruin a promising start to the season.

This five game losing streak has featured bad luck, some shoddy defense, an absence of scoring and mediocre goaltending at best. Not exactly a recipe for success in the NHL. The team was called out for lackluster effort after the LA game, resulting in a MUCH better game in Anaheim, but losing with 1.7 seconds left is a soul-killer.

Josh Cooper calls it out in his posting yesterday, I’ve been wondering the same thing… what has happened to Shea Weber? A minus 7 since Suter went down, it’s a little slump that is coming at a bad time for the team.

Next game is Thursday before the team comes back for a single home game against Chicago on Saturday.
