As I reported tonight on CSNPhilly.com, Jeff Carter has an unusual no-trade claouse in his 11-year, $58 million contract.
Carter can give the Flyers a list of 10 team he won’t accept a trade with, a source said. The no-trade begins 2012-13 and runs for three years. Then it is modified for the balance of the contract.
I remain convinced that the Flyers will be able to re-sign Ville Leino because of attrition this summer and the bit of money they pick up by keeping Carter's cap hit under $6 mill next year.
