MONTREAL - So why is Sergei Bobrovsky starting over Brian Boucher tonight in Montreal?

We asked Flyers coach Peter Laviolette about this before the game.
“It’s a back to back game and we’re in the middle of some games here,” said Laviolette, admitting he talks constantly to goalie coach Jeff Reese about his rotation and how to handle his goalies.
“I have faith in all of the goaltenders. I talked to [Reese] all the time. Ulitmately, I have to make a decision. A lot times, everybody has, not a different opinion but their own thoughts. I’ve got to make a call. Jeff is in constant communication with the goaltenders, their work and what they do and to have those conversations is really important.”
