I am reporting tonight on CSNPhilly.com that Ville Leino has the framework for 2 contract options right now to remain a Flyer.

I spent quite a bit of time on the phone w/Leino's agent, Bill Zito, this weekend. Nothing is concrete and I sense Zito wants to see how things play out with Leino and the Flyers.

Some in the Flyers are surprised he isn't jumping at these proposals. Leino wants to stay here and all sides say it's going to happen. This is the start.

I feel Leino's value to this team is immeasurable right now because of the success of the Briere line. The Flyers need to get this done. I think they will. ONly greed could prevent it from not happening and I don't see that being the case w/Leino.
