MINI-PREVIEW 10:30 AM EST

The Flyers (38-15-5) will look to continue their trend of avoiding back-to-back losses when they travel to Madison Square Garden to take on the New York Rangers (31-25-4) in a 12:30 PM matinee that is part of the Hockey Day in America showcase of games on NBC and Versus today. This will be the fourth of six meetings between the teams this season. The Flyers have won the first three games of the season series (a pair of 4-1 victories in Philly on Nov. 4 and Dec. 18 and a 3-2 decision at MSG on Jan. 16).

The Rangers hung tough for awhile through a wave of key injuries but the club's suspect depth finally seems to have caught up with them. The club is just 3-6-1 in its last 10 games and fired blanks in a 1-0 shutout loss against the streaking Devils in their last game. However, Brandon Dubinsky and Marian Gaborik both have points in four of the last five games and Ryan Callahan has scored 5 goals in his last eight games.

The Flyers should have both Mike Richards (flu) and Ville Leino (mild groin strain, played in Carolina on Friday) available today. Penalty killing specialist and ex-Ranger, Blair Betts, is unlikely to play today due to a finger laceration sustained in the last game.
