Starting last night in Florida, the ice times began to climb for the top 9 forwards and top 5 defenseman even though the final figures in the initial boxscore were wrong. They have since been revived.
Today was the 4th time in 10 days the Flyers had as an "OFF" day where there was no on-ice training. Just biking.
Lavy wants to ratchet up ice times of key people who will see more ice time during the playoffs. Mike Richards will go from 19:00 to 23:00. The top blue liners - Kimmo Timonen, Matt Carle and Andrej Meszaros are going to hit 25-26. Braydon Coburn will be slightly less.
It's all about conditioning for a long spring, playoff run, Lavy said.
