Claude Giroux was standing outside the the players dressing room at Skate Zone today in Voorhees.

"So who's picking the Sabres over us?" Giroux asked me.

ESPN.com. Pierre Lebrun.

"Are you kidding me? I have to call Pierre," Giroux said.

Danny Briere loves being he underdog in this series against the Sabres. Scott Hartnell was offended. So a degree, so was Giroux.

Maybe this is a good sign. I think it is. People are looking at the Flyers and saying to themselves, "these guys don't look playoff ready."

When Comcast's Lisa Hillary asked Peter Laviolette that question, you should have seen the look in his face. He didn't like it.

On paper, you look at the Flyers 106 points and it's hard to argue. But the FLyers had 71 points at the All-Star break. That was 50 games. Eight games over the halfway point. So, from that point on, the Flyers amassed a mere 35 points -- half their total from the first-half and that is terrible.

I still think the Flyers superior depth will allow them to win the Sabres' series in 6 games. But Sergei Bobrovsky is going to have to steal at least one game because I feel Ryan MIller is capable of doing that more than once in a series.

And I don't expect Chris Pronger for Game 1. Read into Lavy's comments today and it seems to indicate that.

Pronger is "scheduled" to speak on TUE with the media. But will he say anything?
