Schenn on LTIR For Cap Relief |

As I reported earlier on CSNPhilly.com, Brayden Schenn has a fracture of the left foot after blocking a shot from PK Subban on WED in Montreal.
I saw Schenn limping slightly coming out of the showers after the game but there was no hub-bub around him. PLayers frequently are limping after every game. The break wasn't found until this morning.
To make the callup moves of Zac Rinaldo and Erik Gustafsson comply under the salary cap, the Flyers placed Schenn on LTIR. That took $1.69 million off their cap.
Sean Couturier? He was staying anyway. And now the Flyers need the rookie even more.
I have the same concerns of Bill Meltzer with Ilya Bryzgalov. He's all over the crease, he's making himself look small, he can't find pucks in front of him or off the back boards, and he is handling rebounds like they were live grenades. He's a mess right now.
And THAT has to be of great concern to the Flyers.
Lucky that Sergei Bobrovsky is playing well, eh?
