UPDATED: Giroux Out Indefinitely With Concussion |
|

GM Paul Holmgren said Claude Giroux has been skating last 2 days and is determined to return to lineup despite concussion.
Has Giroux not heard of Sidney Crosby's trials and tribulations.
Holmgren said he may have to "pull in the reins" on Giroux.
May? No, SHOULD. The Flyers need him healthy for the playoffs. Make it sit and rest and get better.

Well it went from feeling better and getting better and making progress to whiplash to ...
Claude Giroux will be out indefinitely with a concussion, GM Paul Holmgren announced this morning.
The players did not know this until the media informed them after the morning skate.
“You look at the best teams over the years, most of them have had to deal with injuries and it’s how you react to them,” Danny Briere told me.
“That’s what says a lot about your team. You don’t see teams rely on one or two guys these days to dominate. You can have 2-3 superstars on a team but it’s your depth players that make a difference.”
The Flyers have shown remarkable resiliency in overcoming injuries this year. They are 10-4-1 without Chris Pronger in the lineup. I think that says a lot.
