There are no Flyers-related games or Flyers prospect games taking place on Monday. However, the Super Series resumes with the second and final game pitting Team OHL against the Russian national U20 team. From there, the Russians move on to play two games against Team WHL.
Monday's Super Series match from Sarnia, Ontario starts at 7 p.m. eastern time and will be televised on NHL Network. Flyers 2012 first-round pick
Scott Laughton will NOT be participating in this game, as he was selected only for the game in Guelph last Thursday.
Here's the results roundup from Sunday's games:
*
ECHL: Reading 4 - TITANS 3, SO. The Flyers' ECHL affiliate lost all five games to Reading, collecting just one of a possible 10 points. Trenton has now lost six games in a row after starting the season at 5-1-0.
Niko Hovinen got the start in goal and stopped 26 of 29 shots in regulation and overtime and 3 of 5 attempts in the shootout. Trenton blew an early 2-0 lead and was unable to hold a one goal in the final two minutes of regulation, settling for one point. Andy Bohmback scored a hat trick for the Titans.
Marcel Noebels went pointless for the fourth straight game after beginning the season with points in each of the first eight games.
*
OHL: Mississauga 2 - Peterborough 1: The Petes have the worst record in the OHL and remain stuck on four wins for the season after dropping their seventh straight game (all in regulation).
Derek Mathers did not record a point. In the third period, with his team trailing 1-0, he was whistled off on a double-minor for checking from behind. Peterborough tied the game at 1-1 with 4:03 left in regulation but then yielded a goal to Dylan Smoskowitz just 18 seconds later to go down to defeat again.
*
OHL: London 5 - Sault Ste Marie 3: The month of November has not been too kind to the Greyhounds thus far. In addition,
Nick Cousins was held without a point for the third time in his team's last five games.
*
OHL: Kitchener 2 - Oshawa 1: Things haven't been going too well for the Generals of late, either. Laughton served the seventh game of his 10-game OHL suspension. Defenseman
Colin Suellentrop had no points and was minus two in the game, completing a forgettable weekend.
*
WHL: Portland 3 - Kamloops 1: At the opposite end of the spectrum from all of the aforementioned scuffling teams, the Portland Winterhawks are scorching hot right now. Tonight's win ran the Hawks' record to 12-0-1-0 in their last 13 games. Portland left winger
Taylor Leier scored a goal for the third straight game.
*
NCAA: University of Nebraska-Omaha 6 - Minnesota-Duluth 3: Freshman goaltender
Anthony Stolarz sat on the bench for the fourth straight game, while senior John Faulkner got the nod in net.

FLYERS IN EUROPE UPDATES
With the Karjala Tournament and other international tournaments completed, the nine Flyers players currently signed to European teams will go back to work as this week progresses. Here's a look at their upcoming schedules:
*
Jakub Voracek (Lev Prague, KHL): Voracek returned from a knee injury in his team's final game before the schedule break. To date, he has eight points (2 goals, 6 assists) in eight games played. Lev returns to action on Wednesday with a road game against Torpedo Nizhny Novgorad.
*
Ruslan Fedotenko (HC Donbass Donetsk, KHL): Fedotenko was day-to-day with a lower-body injury heading into the break. He had been centering his team's top line, scoring four goals and seven points in 15 games, while averaging 18:02 of ice time and winning 53.4 percent of his faceoffs. The team returns to the ice on Wednesday with a home game against Neftekhimik Nizhnekamsk.
*
Ilya Bryzgalov (CSKA Moscow, KHL): Bryzgalov picked up his second win of the season in an easy 6-2 win over Amur in his team's final game heading into the break. Bryzgalov has gotten into five games thus far, posting a 2-4-0 record, 2.91 GAA and .892 save percentage. The schedule resumes on Wednesday with an away derby against Atlant Moscow.
*
Matt Read (Södertälje SK, Allsvenskan): Read was playing outstanding hockey and his SSK team was red hot heading into the break. However, the team sustained a host of injuries in the games leading into the break, including a shoulder injury sustained by Read's linemate Carl Hagelin plus several injuries to starting defenseman. NHL defenseman Jonathan Ericsson has also left the game. Read, who has been centering the top line, has 16 points (4 goals, 12 assists) in his first 11 games played. The schedule resumes on Tuesday with a home game against Örebro HK.
*
Claude Giroux and
Danny Briere (Eisbären Berlin, DEL): Giroux has recorded points in all eight DEL games he has played to date, while his occasional linemate Briere has points in seven of eight games. When playing on the same line, Giroux centers and Briere plays right wing. When on separate lines, Briere is in the middle. To date, Giroux has 19 points (4 goals, 15 assists) and Briere has 18 points (4 goals, 14 assists). The schedule resumes on Friday, with a home game against the Krefeld Penguins. Sunday's road game in Cologne will be webcasted on Servus TV.
*
Max Talbot (Ilves Tampere, SM-liiga) spent the month of October touring Quebec and raising money for charity. With the lockout dragging on, he recently signed a contract with Ilves Tampere. He is slated to make his debut for the last-place team on Tuesday, when the team is on the road to play third-place Kärpät Oulu.
*
Wayne Simmonds (HC Bili Tygri Liberec, Czech Extraliga) has had personal success since he and Chris Stewart signed with HC Bili Tygri Liberec after a stint a Germany's minor-league Bundesliga with Eispiraten Crimmitschau. Unfortunately, Simmonds' Liberec team has continued to have trouble winning games, and the racial taunts directed at him in a road game in Chumotov got his stay in the Czech Republic off to a rocky start. Nevertheless, the power forward has done his job on the ice. He has four goals, six points and 16 penalty minutes in six games for the Tigers. The team travels to Switzerland on Tuesday for a European Trophy game against SC Bern, and returns to Extraliga competition on Sunday with a home game in Liberec against HC Litvinov.
*
Tom Sestito (Sheffield Steelers, EIHL) scored an overtime winning goal in the his team's final game before the break. In total, he has five goals, 12 points and 65 penalty minutes in 10 games played. His official PIM totals were reduced by 20 with the league's decision to rescind a match penalty (and automatic three-game suspension) the other week. That's why his penalty minutes have dropped from what was previously reported. The team's schedule resumes on Friday with a road match against the Nottingham Panthers.
