Friday Games: Flyers Farm Teams

AHL: PHANTOMS (7-8-0-0) vs Norfolk Admirals (7-8-0-0) -- 7:05 PM

Coming off one their best all-around efforts of the season in a 5-1 win over Bridgeport, the Adirondack Phantoms will look to build further momentum tonight in the second game of a six-game homestand. The Norfolk Admirals provide the opposition.

Norfolk's season got off to a good start, as the club won four of its first five games. Things have been tough since then. The Anaheim Ducks' AHL affiliate has dropped seven of its last 10 game, including their last three in a row.

On Tuesday, the Phantoms exploded for three power play goals. Recent ECHL recall Jason Akeson was a big part of the resurgence, generating two primary assists on the man advantage among his three helpers in the game. The Phantoms got even strength goals from Harry Zolnierczyk and Shane Harper to supplement power play goals by Sean Couturier, Brayden Schenn and Tye McGinn. Schenn had a three-point game, while Couturier had two points.
