Of course I read it on Twitter, but the lawyers have put down their pens and emerged from their room to tell us that the MOU has been signed. The NHL can now officially begin their season. That memorandum of Understanding took almost as long as the 740 member vote.
The lock-out that ate 119 days out of our entertainment schedule is finally over. Here is the 'official' Islander schedule for 48 games. http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebyseason.htm?team=NYI
There are six back-to-back nights and the regular season for the Isles will end on April 26th against Buffalo. Single game tickets will be on sale Monday.
NBC will not be airing ANY of the New York Islander games. Just sayin'.
Meanwhile the BST has lost to the Portland Pirates by a score of 6 - 3.
Ex NYI big guy and fan favorite Joel Rechlicz put on a show with Gallant and I was shocked to find it also on Twitter.
Camp opens at midnight. Isles camp opens Monday with physicals tomorrow.
And Miss New York won Miss America -- if you were interested.
