Although most of the Flyers players have been working out for the past week at the Skate Zone in Voorhees, they have had to do so without the coaches on the ice. Training camp starts tomorrow at 11 a.m. and, as always, is free and open to the public to attend.

I will be covering three of the six practices leading up to opening day. On Sunday afternoon, I will update this blog with notes and quotes from Day One.

It has been reported by Bob McKenzie and others that the Flyers have signed unrestricted free agent defenseman Kurtis Foster to a contract. The deal will be officially announced as soon as the two-hour time window after the announcement of the MOU has passed.

Chris Botta tweeted that the Foster contract is believed to be a two-year deal. However, that is unconfirmed as of this writing.
