Simply packed, jammed house here at Skate Zone this Sunday morning as Flyers training camp opens.

Okay, as we've been saying, the FLyers had d-man Kurtis Foster on their radar and signed him officially on Sunday morning.

One year for $950,000.

We've all been wondering why Brian Boucher has continued to hang around here with a year left on his Carolina deal. He clearly wanted to come back to the area. Bought a new house, I was told.

Well, the Flyers made a minor deal with the Canes to bring him back today. Boucher is insurance for the organization and likely is assigned to the Phantoms. He is coming off hip surgery, too.

Foster may not be the player he was a few years ago, but I feel he is a worthy veteran upgrade on a defense that is injured throughout.
