Very disappointed that Chris Pronger snubbed the media today when we all wanted to talk to him about Claude Giroux.
We agreed in advance not to discuss Chris's LTIR status or his post-concussion syndrome. This was about Giroux.
None of us are certain why Pronger, who asked for 24 hrs to consider giving us an interview chose to diss the media. He only talked to the Flyers PR dept and their website.
All of us feel awful how things ended for Pronger, just like they did for Keith Primeau and Eric Lindros. Yet both of them chose not to cut the media off completely.
No one has talked to Pronger in 14 months. This wasn't about him - it was about Giroux.
