Will the Pittburgh Penguins be playing some of their future home games in Anaheim?

This is a photo that was taken recently from the Honda Center in Anaheim.

The answer is of course not, but why is the Penguins logo on Honda Center’s ice?

The rumor is that Sidney Crosby is shooting a new commercial out there and instead of flying all the video equipment and other items it takes to shoot a professional commercial, they just made the ice look like they are in Pittsburgh.

Crosby trains during the offseason in Southern California so when you combine that with the cost of moving the commercial equipment across the country, it was just easier to change the logo on center ice.

I’m sure Anaheim fans aren’t too thrilled that another team’s logo is on their ice surface but money talks.

This is what the Duck’s ice surface will look like for their 20th anniversary season this year.
