Quick update here ...
Jakub Voracek did not practice with the team on Wednesday at Wells Fargo Center while Wayne Simmonds, did.
Simmonds missed a couple practices and Tuesday's 2-1 loss against the Devils with the flu. He is now recovered.
Vinny Lecavalier told me late Tuesday he is still having some lingering effects from that same flu bug but has not missed anything important because of such.
Back to Voracek. He appeared to injure his lower back (left side) when being taken down into the net during the game.
Today, he was smiling, joking with guys and seemed fine. Coach Peter Laviolette pronounced him fine and Lavy almost always has NO comment on injuries and defers to GM Paul Holmgren.
Voracek was not permitted to speak to the media, but he was walking a helluva lot better than he was trying to skate on Tuesday after being injured.
He is not expected to play Thursday - that was set in advance. We should ALL the Flyer regulars in Friday's pre-season finale in Washington.
