With Henrik Lundqvist still nursing an unspecified "minor" injury, the Rangers will go up against the Flyers tonight with a rookie goalie.

Say hello to 26-year-old Cam Talbot. He'll be making his NHL debut.

He knows nothing about any of the Flyers except ... Zac Rinaldo.

The two played together in junior at Hamilton and then played against each other in the AHL.

Talbot seems to have a good handle on Rinaldo and how he'll try to unnerve him in the crease. He expects some stick work from him.

“I can only imagine,” Talbot said. “It probably won’t be on the pads, though. I’m sure he knows where to go. Zac knows what he is doing and he’s pretty good at it. I gotta watch myself when he’s around me, for sure.”

Both these clubs are a disaster right now but the Rangers are in far worse shape with Carl Hagelin, Rick Nash, Ryan Callahan and Lundqvist out and the poor play from their defense.

Odds favor the Flyers in this one ...
