Would You Trade Brayden Schenn or Keep Him?

There is little question that new Flyers' GM Ron Hextall is up against it this summer in trying to retool the Flyers with limited cap dollars.

The $6.5 million or so he has now at his disposal isn't going to cut it compared to what he really needs unless he makes a bold move to trade two salaries for one.

Six players are due for salary increases and four have significant ones, led by Claude Giroux
($8.275 million from $3.75 million).

Hextall has 2 blue line positions to fill and needs a left wing on Sean Couturier's line. Which makes doing that with just $6 million impossible without a trade.

I wrote about the dilemma this morning on CSNPhilly.com shrouded around the entire Brayden Schenn dilemma.

Will the Flyers re-sign him? That they didn't move to do it all season under Paul Holmgren and that Don Meehan tells me he hasn't had any talks with Hextall, as yet, is an indication that the Flyers either A) aren't going to give him a long-term deal and will try to just qualify him and noting more or; B) they are going to move him and will qualify him to assure they have his rights first.

So here's a Hockeybuzz poll question:

If you are Hextall, do you trade Brayden Schenn, either singularly or in a package deal with brother Luke, or do you keep him?
